Sand blew over the southern plains, over a time span of a decade.

 

 

Living conditions were so bad many people were forced to go elsewhere

This is the Area of the southern plains, the area most affected by the Dust Bowl.

The Dust Bowl was when dust blew over the Southern Plains for almost a decade. It made living conditions horrendous. Children had trouble breathing meanwhile farmers watched as their crops were blown away right in front of their eyes. It went on during the 1930s. The time also came with a long period of drought. Farmers hoped for rain everyday but didn't get it for ten years.
