Western immigration was tough on the Indians. They had to leave their areas they had called their own for so long. Western expansion, although it gave many opportunities for the new Americans, it was a terrible experience for the Native Americans. The Indians were eventually forced to leave their reservations after a long time of war. I chose this picture because it symbolizes how Native Americans felt , as if they had just been pushed out of a place where they had every right to stay.
